Rustic Chicken & Rice Skillet

Ingredients:

  • 200g of boneless chicken breast
  • 150g of long-grain rice
  • 400ml of chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 150g of mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Skillet
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Measuring Cups

Instructions:

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the boneless chicken breast and cook until slightly golden, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, combining well with the chicken.
  • Add the rice and mixed vegetables to the skillet, stirring well to combine.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and has absorbed the broth.
  • Remove from heat, let it sit covered for a few minutes, then fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
