Herb-Infused Lemon Garlic Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 200g of spaghetti
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 50g of fresh parsley, chopped
  • 50g of fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for topping (optional)

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • pot
  • pan
  • strainer
  • spatula

Instructions:

  • Boil a pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  • In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the minced garlic, frying until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add the lemon zest and lemon juice to the pan, stirring well.
  • Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve a bit of the pasta water and drain the rest using a strainer.
  • Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with the garlic lemon sauce, tossing to combine.
  • If the pasta seems dry, add a splash of the reserved pasta water.
  • Stir in the chopped parsley and basil, mixing well.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot, topped with Parmesan cheese if desired.
