Garlic Butter Prime Rib Roast

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg of prime rib roast
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 100g of unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of black pepper
  • 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 sprigs of fresh thyme, chopped

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • roasting pan
  • oven
  • meat thermometer
  • basting brush
  • aluminum foil

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
  • In a bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, chopped thyme, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  • Rub the garlic butter mixture all over the prime rib roast, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
  • Place the roast in a roasting pan and insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the roast.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, or until the internal temperature reaches 55°C (130°F).
  • Once done, remove from the oven and cover with aluminum foil. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
